Industrial Water Treatment
Industrial water presents an active media for a number of species to live and grow. The water systems often gets infested with micro-organisms, fungi, algae, etc. the deposition of algae produces a number of undesirable effects such as corrosion, damage to concrete basins, tanks etc. BKC is suitable and effective as biocide in this area. It is used in cooling water circulation systems, water storage tanks. It avoids micro-organism growth and prevents corrosion caused by the Sulfate Reducing Bacteria.
Dairy & Food Industry
It is a disinfectant in dairy and food industry. It is used in cleaning the receptacles, machinery & tools with minimum contact time. It is a general purpose disinfectant recommended for keeping general hygiene conditions in this industry.
Paper & Pulp Industry
In Paper industry bio-degradation occurs at every paper processing stage. All the raw materials like pulp, cellulose, sizing agents agents are attacked and degraded by micro-organisms. The degradation process attacks fiber and results in loss of strength. The enzymatic attack also develops bad odor. The recycling of water in paper industry facilitates bacterial growth. Different biocide programs can be developed to avoid resistivity of microorganisms to biocides.
Poultry & General Uses
BKC is also used as a disinfectant in poultry and animal houses. It can be used in hospitals, community halls, hotels, public places as disinfectant and it helps in maintaining the general hygienic conditions. It is used as algae killer in swimming pools and its non-toxic nature makes it a replacement for chlorination in swimming pools.
