We supply the following Metaclaw products : EDTA, NTA, DTPA, HEDTA, PDTA and EDDHA. Their properties are as under
EDTA
Standard chelating agent.
NTA
A biodegradable cheakating agent that is weaker than EDTA but used widely in cleaning processes and detergent applications.
DTPA
A Chelating agent that is stronger than EDTA that is often used to lower the effective free metal content of process such as the bleaching of pulp. It is also more stable under oxidizing conditions.
HEDTA
A chelating agent with similar efficacy to EDTA. However, it is particularly useful in controlling, iron. It can also be used to complex magnesium at low pH (below 6).
PDTA
A specific chelator especially developed for the photo-finising process. When it complexes with iron, it is very effective in the bleaching of photographic films and paper.
EDDHA
A high-performance chelating agent used especially with iron in alkaline conditions.
